Meeting was called to order at 3:09 pm at Acting President Edward Hardison.  The prior months minutes were approved.  The finance committee reported on their August meeting.  The Controller gave her report and presented the July financials to the board.  She also updated the board on the progress of refinancing station 1’s mortgage.  The Fire Chief gave his monthly report.  The Fire hief also reported that the former Hilliview Elementary School is becoming dilapidated, grown up and vandalized.  He asked that the community get involved to get something done about the building and grounds. A resolution was passed to remove several accounts from the Jefferson County Collection list that were turned over in error.  The meeting was adjourned at 4:34 pm.
